Primary Care Trusts (PCTs) in London
General practice is represented via elected members of local medical committees (LMCs). Each LMC is co-terminous with a Primary Care Trust (PCT). Primary Care Trusts, now prefixed by title 'NHS', are responsible for ensuring health services meet the needs of the local population in their areas.
