This online workshop, delivered via Zoom, aims to ensure that each delegate is informed and prepared to be a chaperone within the practice in order to execute the role safely and effectively.

Course content includes:

  • What is a chaperone?

  • Intimate examinations.

  • Why chaperones need to be present.

  • A patient’s rights.

  • Special circumstances.

  • The role of the chaperone during video consultation.

  • The role and responsibility of a chaperone.

  • Raising concerns.

  • Protocols, policies and competence.
