Media and public affairs round-up

image

Contributions to the UK LMC Conference on 11 and 12 May which received media coverage included: no fault medical compensations scheme (Pulse) and fairer funding formulas to recognise economic deprivation (Pulse and GPOnline). On 11 May we produced an animation of a London GP's experience for Mental Health Awareness Week. On 12 May we shared an animation to celebrate the leadership of general practice nurses on our LMCs for International Nurses Day. On 9 May Dr Lisa Harrod-Rothwell, our Deputy CEO, was quoted in a Pulse story on mental health pressures.

We continue to be very active in promoting the interests of London GPs and practice staff on Twitter, Facebook and LinkedIn. If you have an example of general practice doing something well which could make a news story please get in touch. We also support practices that are approached with media requests. You can find details here.
