An exciting opportunity for a new partner to join our friendly and forward-thinking GP practice with a growing patient list in the architecturally renowned Finsbury Health Centre since 1997.
We are a highly regarded training practice with a strong ethos for education and professional development to enable us to deliver the highest possible care.
Who we are:
• GMS practice providing high quality healthcare to a diverse inner-city population of 17,000 patients in a great central location around the corner from Exmouth Market referred to as ‘one of central London’s most charming spots’ with great transport links and parking on-site.
• A friendly, welcoming, and supportive team consisting of 5 partners, 11 salaried GPs, 3 GP trainees including registrars and FY2, 3 nurses, 2 HCA’s and 3 practice-based pharmacists, 2 Paramedics, and many other ARRS professionals.
• A wide multidisciplinary team on-site, including 2 paramedics, a First Contact Physiotherapist, psychologists, social prescribers, Substance Misuse workers, and phlebotomists.
• Low demand for home visits due to Rapid Response Team/ paramedic visits.
• Prescribing managed by pharmacists.
• Personal patient list ensuring continuity of care.
• Clinics of 13×15 min mixed F2F or telephone appointments.
• A robust appointment system using e-consultations to triage appointments based on clinical needs and book acute/ routine appointments with the most appropriate clinician.
• Early adopters of digital tools to allow safe and efficient communication between patients and the team.
• Care Navigators supporting each clinician with admin workload.
• Weekly educational meetings including District Nurses, Health Visitors, Palliative Care and Community Mental Health Team.
• Training practice for both undergraduate and postgraduate doctors and nursing trainees.
• Open-door policy.
• High QOF-achieving and consistently above-average local & national GP survey results.
• Active member of the South Islington PCN and Islington GP Federation.
• No need to buy-in to the building.
• CQC rating Good (2018)
