Job Summary

We are looking for enthusiastic Physician Associates to join the Nexus team to further develop our Physician Associate (PA) team. You will be based at one of our 9 practice sites in north Southwark working in a multidisciplinary primary care team looking after the practice patient list. Our patient population is varied reflecting the diverse communities of Southwark and inner London with a mix of students, young families, different ethnic groups, asylum seekers and professionals.

Main duties of the job

We have had 3 years’ experience of training preceptor PA’s and working with PA’s in our team. We are now looking to expand that group with further preceptorship and more experienced Physician Associate posts and opportunities for leadership and career development.

We currently have employed 9 Physician Associates and are looking to expand our team to build on our current success.

Your working week

Prescribed preceptorship programme of work over 9 sessions
Weekly tutorial with dedicated tutor on site
Weekly site team meeting to discuss clinical cases, learning events and organisational developments.
Monthly PA learning group
