New data extraction requirements

A new Data Protection Notice issued by NHS England legally requires GP Practices to provide the OpenSAFELY Data Analytics Service Pilot with access to pseudonymised GP patient data for studies beyond COVID-19.

On 14 July Dr Sukhpal Shergill, Deputy Medical Director for North West London, was quoted in a GPonline story on late payments of ARRS funding in the area. On 3 July Pulse included Dr Lisa Harrod-Rothwell's comments in their round-up of responses to the launch of the NHS 10 Year Plan, her full response is here. On 27 June Dr Harrod-Rothwell was interviewed by GPonline’s podcast which was also written up for their website.
