We have responded to the NHS England provider selection consultation, which sought feedback on how ICS will procure services.

Also this month...

International Nurses Day – tell us your stories

We are looking for examples of how working through the pandemic has affected nurses in general practice, ahead of International Nurses Day next month.

GP Forward View five years on

The GP Forward View was published in April 2016, with a number of aims and aspirations that were to be delivered within five years. We take stock of the main quantifiable ambitions of the document.

Remember to use BEAM to LMC to highlight the pressure you are under

Our BEAM to LMC mobile app, which enables you to tell us about the pressures you are under from commissioners and others, is proving popular. Make sure you check the app for push notifications.

Media and public affairs round-up

On 28 April, Pulse published an opinion piece by Dr Lisa Harrod-Rothwell, our Deputy CEO, reflecting on the GP Forward View. On 7 April Management in Practice covered our latest workforce survey results. On 28 March our communications team arranged contact with GP sources for an Observer article on how GPs avoid vaccine wastage. We have also provided information for queries from Pulse, GPOnline, the HSJ and the Independent during April.

We continue to be very active in promoting the interests of London GPs and practice staff on Twitter, Facebook and LinkedIn. If you have an example of general practice doing something well which could make a news story please get in touch. We also support practices that are approached with media requests. You can find details here.
