LMCs across London have recently written to their local Trusts in support of their Junior Doctor colleagues, echoing their concerns about the safety of the new contract which is set to be imposed.

This week the Chancellor delivered his 2016 Budget Statement.

There will be an absolute one percent increase in contract value this year, with some further targeted funding to assist with specific operating costs.

The BMA have changed their Policy Directorate and the way that they work with LMCs, including changing the LMC liaison officer role.

The end of this month is the deadline for enabling online access to patients’ detailed coded record (DCR). Practices have until 31 March 2016 to switch this on.

The national campaign aims to remind people about the importance of seeing a doctor promptly if they notice ‘blood in pee’.

Our workforce survey continues to get coverage, being reported on the front page of the Kensington and Chelsea News and our CEO, Dr Michelle Drage, appeared on London Live News to discuss it on 3 March. Michelle has recently spoken about resilience and battling burnout at two events, Commissioning Live on 3 March and the Family Doctor Association on 3 February.

Dr Elliott Singer, one of our medical directors, wrote a piece for Pulse magazine on revalidation (requires free registration to access), published on 1 March.
