| Learning objectives | At the end of this workshop attendees will have the resources to:- recognise what is happening nationally regarding registration, the regulation of healthcare workers and the care certificate
- understand professional indemnity
- recognise the principles and legal aspects of accountability and delegation
- understand what reflection is, why we need to reflect, and how we can reflect
- understand what is meant by the terms portfolio and professional development plan and to understand the importance of these
- be able to use learning opportunities and reflective practice to contribute to personal development
- extend their knowledge of the legal aspects of consent and its implications in everyday practice in their own working environment
- extend their knowledge of confidentiality and its implications in everyday practice in their own working environment
- recognise the importance of, and the legal issues surrounding record keeping in healthcare
- identify personal SMART objectives for taking theory and learning from the study day back to practice
