On 28 March, Dr Oge Ilozue, our Barnet LMC Chair, represented local GPs at the virtual meeting.
The discussions covered:
- The current working environment in general practice, emphasising what can be delivered safely within the available resources.
- A significant part of the conversation was dedicated to ensuring that the healthcare infrastructure is properly integrated into the plans for the Brent Cross Town Development. This integration is crucial for providing comprehensive and accessible healthcare services to the community.
- Following the meeting, Sarah Sackman will be reaching out to the Integrated Care Board (ICB) to inquire about their plans for health provisions in the Brent Cross Town development. The MP expressed her interest in being actively involved in the ongoing conversation and ensuring that the healthcare needs of the community are adequately addressed.
Dr. Ilozue and Sarah Sackman have also agreed to meet again in person at a Barnet practice. This follow-up meeting will allow them to continue their discussions and further explore how best to support and enhance healthcare services in the area.
