New resources: Our new landing page lmc.org.uk/hello, is designed to provide a short explanation of how Londonwide LMCs and LMCs work on behalf of local GPs and GP practices for people who are unfamiliar with us. It also contains links to printable resources, such as our A5 flyer and A4 trifold leaflet. A similar landing page is available for people interested in our refreshed Buying Group offer: lmc.org.uk/bg.
Updated search: The search now has the option to filter content by type, and some sub-categories of each type. The sort by function now includes the option to sort pages by most recently updated in addition to when they were created.
Search as navigation: Probably the biggest change in terms of how you use the site is that the Guidance and resources link now takes you to the search function with the Guidance and resources box pre-ticked. This is because we now have over 100 items of guidance on the site and users found clicking through all of these to find the one they want to be too time consuming.
Events calendar: Our training and events section now opens with a calendar showing what training is running on each day. The pervious style of listing the different training and courses on offer is still available in the ‘list’ view.
Condensed layout: One of the points that came out of user research was a desire for information to be less spaced out and not to have an associated image per page. On the home page we have hidden the images associated with the news stories and pages like the events listing are now more condensed, although have no less information on them.
