Dr Mark Mikhail, Chair, Ealing LMC
I have been a GP Principal since 2012 and have served on the LMC for nine years, including as Vice Chair and now Chair of Ealing LMC. These roles have given me deep insight into the realities faced by frontline GPs and the strategic leadership needed to represent and protect our profession effectively.
As Chair of a GP federation, I have developed strong expertise in corporate governance, financial stewardship, and organisational development- skills essential to ensuring Londonwide LMCs remains resilient, accountable, and forward-looking. I have a sound understanding of corporate governance and believe in collaborative, transparent, and purposeful leadership.
I have served on the steering group for the establishment of the NWL Primary Care Provider Collaborative, working with leaders across all eight North West London boroughs to build trust and alignment across complex systems. Through the Quality Group and as LMC representative, I have also contributed to improving the North West London Pathology Provider. In addition, I have worked with North Central London colleagues ahead of the NWL–NCL merger to ensure GPs’ voices remain central in system transformation. If elected, I will bring energy, integrity, and proven leadership to strengthen Londonwide LMCs’ influence, stability, and impact across the capital.
Dr Veno Suri, Chair, Hillingdon LMC
I have previously been co-opted on the board so am familiar with its functions and roles. Given my previous experience, I am well set to introduce new ideas such as how best to utilise GP support for our practices.
I have been on the LMC since a registrar in 2014 and have been Hillingdon chair for over 4 years. Therefore, I am well placed to be aware of NWL challenges and opportunities. Furthermore, I am a member of BMA General Practitioners Committee UK, so am conscious of national priorities. Combining this knowledge of local and national priorities will be useful in executing the role of member of the Board.
