Deputy CEO

Elliott was appointed as the Londonwide LMCs Deputy CEO in February 2025. He has been involved with LMCs since 2001, initially as the GP trainee representative and then as a LMC representative for Waltham Forest LMC. He has been a member of the Londonwide LMCs team since 2012, his roles have included being the LMCs Medical Director in Northeast London, a Medical Director with our GP Support team assisting individual GPs and practices across London and being the Londonwide LMCs lead on technology and digital.

Elliott has been a GP partner and trainer in an East London practice since 2002, having joined the practice after being a GP registrar there, he initially qualified from the Royal London Hospital in 1997. Elliott has a special interest in minor surgery, is the lead clinician for a community based carpal tunnel service and is a Medical Officer with the British Board of Boxing Control.

Previous roles include being the Chair of the England Conference of LMCs, an agenda committee member for both the England and UK conferences of LMCs, a GP training Programme Director for Whipps Cross VTS, an Associate Director for the London Deanery and the Chair of the British Hyperbaric Association.

Elliott is passionate about the benefits that the independent contractor model of general practice brings to our communities and that our practices are part of our local communities. As an established partner he is fully aware of the challenges associated with running a viable practice and meeting the myriad of demands placed on practices daily. He recognises that the long-term viability of our practices requires not just financial support but new GPs being given the opportunity and wanting to take up partnerships, to this end he has both developed our ‘aspiring to partnership’ course for people considering partnership and encourages GP contract holders to have a long-term plan for developing and giving the opportunity to those GPs who wish to become partners. Elliott is a keen advocate on incorporating new technology into general practice to improve patient services and help practices better manage demand.
