Londonwide LMCs is the membership organisation representing over 7,000 NHS general practitioners in over 1,100 practice teams in London, providing pan-London leadership and shared committee services for its members. We support GPs, their teams, practices and PCNs, so that they are able to work in the best interests of their patients and local communities.
The role is based at our offices in Euston and you will need to be able to come to the office if required but flexible options including regular home working are supported.
This role will support the Associate Director of Data & Information Governance in the provision of data and information governance advice, guidance and support across the organisation within a culture of data protection by design and default.
The role is challenging and rewarding, we would like to hear from candidates who have:
- In-depth knowledge and understanding of relevant legislation, including Data Protection Act 2018 and UK GDPR, ICO guidance, NHS England policy and best practice for data protection and information governance.
- Direct experience of applying information governance and data protection in a healthcare, legal, business, or regulatory environment.
- Detailed practical understanding of the importance of Data Protection and Information Governance within a business environment and how to monitor compliance and assess risks.
- Demonstrable experience of planning and delivering internal training on data protection and information governance.
- Experience of working across teams in a complex and demanding role, demonstrating prioritisation skills to manage time optimally whilst able to balance manage competing demands.
- Ability to build strong relationships with all colleagues, acting as a critical friend, providing challenge to safeguard data governance principles.
- A commitment to continuous improvement to stay up to date with changes in relevant legislation, regulations, guidance, and policies.
