Job Title: GP Practice Manager
Location: London
Salary: £50,000 – £60,000 per annum (depending on experience)

We are a well-established GP practice located in North East London, committed to delivering high-quality primary care to our diverse patient population. We are seeking an experienced and motivated Practice Manager to lead our administrative, operational, and strategic functions, ensuring the smooth running of the practice and supporting the clinical team.
Summary of Duties
• Day-to-day leadership of all non-clinical aspects of the practice.
• Managing and developing administrative, reception, and support staff.
• Supporting partners and clinicians in strategic planning and decision-making.
• Ensuring compliance with CQC regulations, NHS contractual obligations, and statutory requirements.
• Maintaining and updating practice policies, protocols, and procedures.
• Oversight of patient services, complaints handling, and safeguarding processes.
• Responsibility for budgets, financial planning, and practice accounts.
• Maximising income through enhanced services, QOF achievement, and NHS claims.
• Identifying opportunities for service improvement and business growth.
• Oversight of clinical and administrative IT systems, especially EMIS Web.
• Ensuring effective use of NHS systems such as eRS, NHSmail, NHS Digital portals.
• Recruitment, induction, training, and appraisal of staff.
• Workforce planning, rota management, and HR compliance.
Experience & Skills Required
Essential:
• Proven management experience within primary care, NHS, or a comparable healthcare environment. We will consider individuals without previous primary care experience you must be able to demonstrate transferable knowledge and skills.
• Strong working knowledge of EMIS Web and other NHS systems.
• Excellent organisational, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
• Financial management skills, including budget setting and monitoring.
Desirable:
• Qualification in practice management, healthcare leadership, or business administration.
• Experience in managing change and leading service improvements.
• Familiarity with London ICB structures and commissioning processes.
