Salaried GP

Hilltop Medical Practice is looking to recruit an enthusiastic and dedicated Salaried GP (4 sessions/week) to become part of our progressive and patient-focused practice team in Brent. This role is supported through the NHS GP Reimbursement Scheme and offers an excellent opportunity for a clinician seeking to work within a modern primary care environment that values collaboration, innovation, and outstanding patient care.

This appointment is available on a fixed-term basis until 31 March 2027, in line with current NHS funding arrangements. Any extension beyond this date will be subject to future funding and national policy decisions.

Key Responsibilities: The successful applicant will:
• Deliver safe, effective, and compassionate primary care services to registered patients.
• Manage a varied caseload through in-person, telephone, and digital consultations.
• Assess, diagnose, and treat a broad range of acute and long-term health conditions.
• Prescribe and review medications in accordance with clinical guidelines and best practice standards.
• Maintain high-quality clinical documentation and patient records using the practice clinical system (EMIS Web).
• Process laboratory results, clinical correspondence, and other patient-related documents efficiently.
• Work alongside nurses, pharmacists, social prescribers, care coordinators, and other healthcare professionals to provide integrated care.
• Contribute to safeguarding responsibilities for children and adults at risk.
• Support clinical governance, service improvement projects, and practice development initiatives.
• Participate in team meetings, educational sessions, and ongoing quality improvement activities.
• Encourage preventative healthcare, screening uptake, and health promotion within the practice population.

Candidate Requirements:

Essential:
• GMC-registered General Practitioner with a valid licence to practise.
• Included on the NHS England Performers List.
• Evidence of ongoing professional development and appraisal participation.
• Strong clinical decision-making and organisational skills.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to build positive relationships with patients and colleagues.
• Commitment to delivering high standards of patient-centred care.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary healthcare team.

Desirable
• Previous experience working in UK General Practice.
• Knowledge of EMIS Web or similar clinical systems.
• Interest in teaching, leadership, population health management, or quality improvement.
• Experience of working with diverse patient communities.

Further Information

This position is funded through the NHS GP Reimbursement Scheme and is therefore subject to the relevant eligibility criteria and funding requirements set by NHS England and the local Integrated Care Board (ICB).

The contract will run until 31 March 2027, with any future extension dependent upon the continuation of national funding arrangements.
