In anticipation of the NWL ICS push for same day access, we are looking to recruit a new salaried doctor to join our fabulous team at the North End Medical Centre. Ideally 4+ sessions, with Friday as part of the package. We are also looking for a locum to cover a sabbatical from July – September this year, minimum of 4 sessions per week, preferably 6.
We are a PMS practice of 19,000 patients who are cared for by our 8 partners, 7 salaried GP’s, 2 practice nurses, 6 practice pharmacists, 5 HCA’s, link worker, health coaches and brilliant reception and admin team.
We are part of a highly developed PCN (we are one partnership) that works collaboratively across 5 sites, affording us with many opportunities to develop special interests like frailty, paediatrics, chronic disease, mental health, musculoskeletal medicine and lifestyle medicine. We are highly invested in education with 4 trainers representing two VTS’s on site, and host medical students from 4 different London Unis. We are particularly interested in doctors who have an interest in education for these roles. Our PCN has a research facility with many exciting opportunities. We have supported new salaried GP’s with SPIN fellowships in dermatology, cardiology, paediatrics, fibromyalgia, minor surgery, nephrology and research to name a few.
As a PCN, we take the wellbeing of our staff seriously, with a monthly wellbeing budget allocated to each site, along with many other social events for the whole partnership throughout the year including a summer and Christmas party, weekly 5-a-side football summer inter-practice rounder competition and we have even had a choir night.
We strive to create a collaborative atmosphere for all staff at the practice, with daily morning huddles, a weekly whole practice meeting, weekly clinical teaching, buddy system for results and on calls and a standard open door policy. In the current GP climate, we recognise the value of supporting our team.
Salary £11,077 per session with reimbursement of indemnity. 2 weeks of study leave pro rata per year, 6 weeks of annual leave pro rata pro year (and we plan this ahead to ensure we all get the opportunity to take leave in the busier times of the leave calendar). Our current standard session includes 15 contacts (a mixture of face to face and telephone, including designated time to book your own follow ups). We are currently reviewing our rota model taking into account the NWL ask.
