GPs

Londonwide Local Medical Committees is the clinically-led independent voice of GPs in the capital. We aim to secure the future of general practice in London through our work with all partners in the health and social care sector and beyond, and by supporting and representing over 7,000 GPs and 1,100 practices in London through the 27 locally elected committees that we serve. We ensure that London’s GPs and their practices have access to the information and support they need to help them provide the best possible service to their patients.

We support:

GPs can access support via their local LMC, or through the range of services available to constituent GPs offered by Londonwide LMCs. This includes our GP Support team who can provide expert, confidential and bespoke advice and support to individual constituent GPs including partners and sessional GPs.

Londonwide LMCs also runs the GP Professional Support Network for all GPs in London, providing a matching service to help link GPs with the most appropriate form of support if they feel they need it such as GP support services, peer to peer professional advice and coaching. Many of these services are free for GPs in London practices, but some are paid for and this is clear on the website when registering.

Help us to help you: ensure that your contact details with Londonwide are correct so that you can receive up to date information and newsletters to ensure you can make the most of the support available to you. This can be done through our website or contacting brt@lmc.org.uk.
