Target audience:	Nurses and Doctors who have completed their cytology training in the past and who require the three-yearly update.
Time:	09:00 to 13:00 Please log in at 09:15 for registration and audio/visual check. The session will start promptly at 09:30 and finish at 13:30 with appropriate comfort breaks throughout the morning.

Cost:	£95 per delegate (inclusive of VAT) for attendees from Londonwide practices. £120 per delegate (inclusive of VAT) for attendees from practices from other areas.
Overview:	Prior to attendance the delegate is requested to review their last 20 samples taken to determine adequacy of their sample taking and to highlight any issues to discuss. The update covers all the requirements that are set by the NHS Cervical screening programme to ensure that the sample taker has met the guidance for continuing to take samples. Some of the topics that will be covered are: Discussion of the screening programme Influences in uptake of women Prior notification lists Anatomy and physiology in relation to sample taking and possible findings Cervical cancer HPV and its impact on care Responsibilities of the sample taker Colposcopy Female genital mutilation Disabilities Understanding test results
Aims:	The half day will cover all the changes that are taking place in cervical screening and the impact this has on patients, the practitioner, and the laboratories.
Learning outcomes:	After completion of the Update the delegate will have up to date information about the changes that are taking place in cytology screening to enable them to be proficient in taking cervical samples and giving information to women and people with a cervix.
CPD points/accreditation:	3.5 CPD hours. RCGP accredited.
