What is the LMC and what do we do?
The Local Medical Committee (LMC) works on your behalf to represent the interest of all GPs in Hammersmith and Fulham. We are here for partners, salaried GPs, locums and all practice staff. If you have a specific practice-related issue then our GP support team may be able to help – they can be contacted at GPSupport@lmc.org.uk.
Chair and Vice Chair
I am Dr Kyla Cranmer, and I am the Chair of the Hammersmith and Fulham LMC and Dr Paul Skinner is the Vice-Chair. In addition to the elected LMC members listed above we also have non-GP co-opted members, who bring expertise in specific areas. We have Helen Poole and John Adams, who bring a range of expertise in PCNs and Pharmacy.
What has Hammersmith and Fulham LMC been working on recently?
- Interface meetings. In H and F LMC we seek to interface with secondary care and other colleagues, as we know this is crucial to our patients. My LMC colleague Dr Antonia Wade regularly attends regular Mental Health interface meetings. Please get in touch with us below, via Ian Oakley’s e mail, if you have any interface issues you would like us to raise. In addition, please forward any interface issues to the GP liaison service at both imperial and Chelwest as they use this data to see where services are not meeting contractual requirements such as onward referrals and following up their own results.
- CLCH have announced that the ulcer clinic at Park View will be closing in the coming months and they will not be accepting new referrals and will be looking to hand back existing patients to practices over the coming months. Be aware that all CLCH services can refer to each other – so if a podiatrist asks you to refer to a dietician for example, you should go back and ask them to do the referral internally themselves.
- We are aware of the serious issues many effecting SystmOne practices across WNL for several days in the middle of September, as a result of planned updates to smartcard software. Londonwide LMCs and LMCs in WNL were in regular discussion with ICB leads who rolled back the update and put emergency measures in place to try to rectify the issue. They have advised this will be logged as a significant event and there will be a serious incident investigation to avoid similar issues in the future. There is also acknowledgment of the disruptive impact this had on practices and patients.
- The community dieticians will be launching a new referral form soon that should make their referral criteria much clearer.
- I would like to thank all of you who took part in the imperial letters audit and advise that we are now waiting for an action plan from imperial to improve contact details.
At WNL ICB level
- WNL ICB. As of the 1st April 2026 the NWL and NCL ICBs formally merged to form the West North London (WNL) ICB. One of the priorities of Hammersmith and Fulham LMC is to ensure that GPs are able to make their voice heard and have mechanisms to escalate issues and/or concerns. As detailed above we are taking on this challenge.

LMC Engagement – What’s the best way to contact you?
We are currently looking at how the LMC engages with our colleagues in general practice across the Borough and we would be grateful if you would let us know the most efficient way(s) of reaching you. We are open to any method of communication and would appreciate your feedback regarding the methods we could adopt. These could include (but are not limited to):
- Social media
- Local Practice visits
- Attending meetings/events
- Clinical group meetings
- PCN CD meetings
- PM forums
- Email alerts
In addition to the above we would be grateful if you could let us know how regularly you wish to be updated, we are keen to keep you as up to date as possible with the work that the LMC is carrying out on your behalf but not overburden you.
