What we do

We are here to support practices and to represent the interests of all local GPs and their practice teams. One of our key priorities is that we hear the issues and concerns that matter to our local GPs and practices this is critical to the work we do for you. We recognise that this is a two-way conversation and we will be embarking on a more personal practice/ constituency engagement to hear and listen to your concerns about the pressures GPs and practices are facing, but we also need you to reach out to us with any issues or concerns by emailing Amy Honor, Committee Liaison Executive: amy.honor@lmc.org.uk.

What has Hillingdon LMC been working on recently?

Hillingdon LMC meeting

Hillingdon LMC met virtually on 21 July 2026. Below is a summary of key topics discussed:

  • FP69 Impact: 134,000 London patients have been deducted from July 2025 to July 2026. Londonwide LMCs are calling for ‘parachute payments’ to protect a rapid loss of income for practices in a short time frame offering better stability to practices that are most effected.
  • Single Point of Access: There are concerns over workload shift, so the LMC are pushing for a clinically‑led redesign.
  • DEXA Reporting: There is a workaround in place, the LMC are seeking full ICE integration and missing reports.
  • Warfarin Service: The activity required compared to the funding proposed is still unviable, the LMC are raising this again with the ICB.
  • CRM Specification: Significant operational issues have been flagged, there is a meeting scheduled with the ICB to discuss further.
  • Digital Access Platforms: A reminder that online consultation systems must remain open until 18:30 for all request types. Further guidance and resources can be found here from NHS England and here from the BMA.
  • Air conditioning: Concerns were raised about the suitability of GP estates for dealing with summer heatwaves. It was decided this could be a potential future LMC conference motion.
  • NHS Property Services: A reminder that individual practices can seek Londonwide LMCs GP Support team‘s advice, guidance and support for disputes.
  • Neighbourhood Operating Model: Hillingdon will be moving to three neighbourhoods with a single reactive care service.
  • Left shift programme: Hillingdon has been selected as the early adopter with additional funding expected.

Primary/Secondary Care Interface

DEXA scan report issues were raised with committee who then raised these at a recent radiology interface meeting. All other effected boroughs are now resolved, however Hillingdon still has a work around which is not ideal. The LMC are pushing for a date that this will be resolved.

A quick reminder that The Hillingdon Hospital now has a Primary Care Liaison Officer who can be contacted on thh-tr.bookingcentre@nhs.net. This is for GP related queries and feedback. Patients should still contact PALS where appropriate.
