Dear colleagues,
In our December meeting we confirmed our final membership, including co-options and appointments, which may be found here.
We discussed a number of issues with commissioners and others, including the Oliver McGowan training, ongoing conversations with GSTT/KCH regarding the EPIC implementation, and re-procurement plans for NHS111 in SEL and our public health contracts, particularly the NHS Health Checks.
We also raised a problem with documents or plans not always being shared with the LMC in a timely manner. Sometimes we come across them in a roundabout way, or via verbal updates in other meetings. We shall pursue this to try to improve communications.
We also noted the survey sent out by the General Practitioners Committee (GPC) of the BMA. This is very important as it will influence the negotiators in their work on our new contracts. They are keen to hear from ALL GPs, regardless of contractual status; and it does not matter whether or not you are a BMA member. Please share far and wide!
