Dear colleague,
As autumn finally arrived, Lambeth LMC met our commissioners to discuss contractual issues. The NHS England “list-cleansing” exercise continues, with even our commissioners unclear how this will affect our in-year funding. London seems to have been particularly badly hit. Please see the recent update from Londonwide LMCs.
Public Health commissioned services
Our NHS Health Check and LARC schemes are commissioned by Public Health at Lambeth Council. Like our ICB commissioners, they moved in April 2026 to using Ardens Manager to monitor our work. Despite the NHS Health Checks being a nationally specified scheme, and having had a long lead time to mobilise, we are now in Q3 of the year and there are still problems with the search.
Public Health are very hopeful that the corrected dashboard will be available in the next few weeks and assure us that no practice will lose out financially. Even so, there has been a lot of work for practice managers to understand what was going on and to verify their data. There have also been problems with the phlebotomy and HIV searches. This illustrates why your LMC negotiators are wary of new searches, especially if they are complex.
Lambeth Offer
Outside our bi-monthly meetings, we have been engaging on the renegotiation of next years local schemes (Lambeth Offer). This has been an intense process, and we have been grateful for the support and engagement of LGPPA colleagues.
Interface
Interface and pathways are the most common issues you raise with us. Unfortunately, our interface forum is currently in abeyance. We lobby where we can, but I would encourage you also to raise Quality Alerts via the Datix system (there is a link on the DXS home page) in addition to alerting us.
Denosumab and inclisiran
The ICB Change programme is ongoing, with more work moving from borough to SE London level. Our Lambeth Medicines and Clinical Pathways Committee has been abolished, and medicines and prescribing decisions now occur at the SEL Integrated Medicines Optimisation Committee (IMOC). They have recently launched a scheme intended to provide funding for the injectables denosumab and inclisiran. They consulted the SEL LMCs and we collectively expressed a range of serious concerns. These were shared with you in the Londonwide LMCs email of 7 October.
England LMC Conference – 20 November 2026
Lambeth LMC will be sending two representatives to the conference, and we have submitted two motions, relating to PMS Funding Equity and PMS Partnership Change Approvals, which we hope will be put forward for conference to debate. Motions that are voted for at the conference are then taken forward by GPCE to support their negotiations with government.
Lambeth PLT
There will be a Londonwide LMCs stand in the foyer at the next all-Lambeth PLT. I look forward to seeing some of you in-person.
- Theme: Cancer and wellbeing.
- Date: 25 November 2026
