Real time information on GP pressure

  • Latest news

Londonwide LMCs is planning to launch an easy-to-use digital reporting system to gather and present real time information about the pressures on general practice across the Capital.

The General Practice Alert State (GPAS) will collect practice information on a weekly basis in an anonymised and unidentifiable way to report on workload strains on general practice without identifying specific practices; allowing us to make comparisons with existing reports about pressures affecting primary and secondary care.

The London rollout will begin in April across one PCN and will be scaled up over subsequent weeks. Once we are ready to go live in your area, your local LMC team will contact you with more information. Each week practices will be asked to answer six simple questions on workforce capacity, demand and practice list size. We hope that this information will help to improve capacity and work life balance for general practice.

We will be keeping you updated via future newsletters. If you do have any queries, please contact the Project Manager Ann Ayamah at ann.ayamah@lmc.org.uk.
